After all, she’s walked all over the universe… and seen things, mysterious, hair-raising, harrowing things.

If you get too close, she might lick your fingers with her three tongues — why three? Well, she’s from a galaxy far, far away…that’s what they wear there. And maybe she bites?

Who knows, I’ve never seen a dog from an alien planet. Do you want to risk it?

All right… enough torture! Here she is:

This is one of the imaginative “Doggie Metas” — the NFT dogs (dogs as mummies, clowns, vampires…) by the talented NFT artist Bam.

She is one of the artists who create amazing NFTs for MGH (MetaGameHub) with heart and soul…

Why do most NFTs have to be cute?

Don’t get me wrong: Everyone likes to have NFTs at the sight of which — ohh, the cuddly eyes! — the legs melt like a glass of spaghetti ice cream….

…but at some point, enough is enough.

That’s why Bam’s “Doggie Metas” are so refreshing. She loves the mysterious, the creepy, the crazy…and that’s why her dogs parade around the doghouses as clowns, vampires, mummies…you name it.

But who is the NFT artist Bam?

Bam is a Thai artist who discovered her passion for painting at an early age.

She started as a child when her mom supported her and brought color into her life. So, she began slowly, leaderless “just drawing cartoon doodle,” as she says herself.

The turning point came in 11th grade. That’s when that nerve-wracking question knocked on the classroom door, that question that many of us have to ask ourselves but hardly anyone knows the answer to: Oh God, what and more importantly where am I going to study?

Bam was lucky, however, and escaped the endless subject hopping where we bounce aimlessly from major to major — because she had her passion: pen and paint.

She found an art studio, where she learned to draw better… and was finally accepted: to the Faculty of Decorative Arts at Silpakron University.

There she spent her best years yet… in the 3rd year, she learned concept art, 2D animator and how to create puppet models… in the 4th year finally stop motion… this knowledge she could combine — “concept art, puppets, and animation at the same time” — to create her own style.

Jack the bean killer was born: “about a boy, who hates to eat beans, so he got caught by his teacher, forbidding him, to get out, until he eats all his beans. So, Jake just rakes all his beans, when suddenly they become alive and attack him.”

Now after university, Bam is doing freelance work with “nicemonster,” a place to create 2D animation and stop motion… and, of course, lively NFT art, a whole new exciting world, which her friends introduced her to.

And you can feel the tingle when you look at her NFT dogs, the slight trepidation when you look into their eyes, the creepiness when their three tongues lick over their lips…

But what is the story of Meta, the space dog?

Oh, that’s a bit mysterious:

As she floated through space, she came upon an alien planet. She was exhausted, thirsty, and looking for water — and that’s when she saw it:

A huge crater that an asteroid had once torn into the planet’s crust. It destroyed all life, destroyed everything…

…but in the core of the asteroid was life — liquid life!

It was a secret potion that rips your cells from your tissues, copies them, and remixes them like the game Memory.

Meta was thirsty, she had been hurtling through space for hours — without water — and now this potion was shining in the crater. She could not resist!

So she stuck out her tongue, dipped it into the potion, and when the first drop touched her oral cavity, she transformed:

Three tongues, mummy costume, angel, vampire… she split and split with ever new shapes and colors. She felt as if she had stepped into a horror hall of mirrors. She looked into a hundred eyes. Her eyes! She was completely terrified.

So, we finally found her — alone, defenseless, and multiplied — and took her with us. Now she lies sheltered in MGH’s dog basket and is a talisman for anyone in the community who carries her.

But how she brings you luck, you’ll find out in the final section… first we venture even further into the universe, slithering along the orbits of the Milky Way and brachiating through the stars.

Why are NFTs so important?

Depending on whom you ask, you’ll get a thousand answers — be it from investors, artists, traders, collectors….

But the Indian artist Ashilraj had a particular answer that I didn’t expect:

NFTs have brought digital art to the masses.

Before, people (especially the art community) looked at digital art like a Hilton hotel manager looks at a shabby highway motel… now they are struck by excitement and say: “Wow, this is awesome!”

This drives Ashil to create; “NFTs have made people appreciate digital art” — thus, Ashil’s incredible art.

But how did his journey as an artist begin?

He started painting as a school kid, first sketches in black and white, no colors; then came college, coding, and his education as a developer…

…but art didn’t let him go — it “haunted” him like passion scraping to the light.

So, he learned to work with colors from scratch (color theory is hard as hell!) and has been a digital artist for a year now.

Only one year, that’s incredible.

Because his images are colorful, startling, awe-inspiring, mystical, magical, enigmatic, inspiring, dazzling, rapturous, imaginative, mind-bending, in short:

Incomprehensible!

Like everything that ventures into the unknown.

And that is exactly Ashil’s goal, to drift away into the shimmering darkness:

We don’t know what lies dormant beyond the stars — a space rover can’t show us, no observatory can, and neither can Christopher Nolan with Interstellar.

We know almost nothing… that’s why we dream and fill the vastness with our dream figures as if the universe were a dream catcher.
